If your "state of the art" marker buoy consists
of soap bottles, milk jugs, and tangled string then
read on. American Bandit, Inc. an innovative marine
and fishing products manufacturer introduces the
Bandit Buoy.
The Bandit Buoy was designed primarily for
saltwater applications such as wreck fishing and
diving, but it works equally well in fresh water
lakes, ponds, streams and rivers. The Bandit Buoy is
made from "ARCEL"(TM), a virtually indestructible
closed cell foam. The Bandit Buoy stores 200 feet of
nylon line internally. A friction disc assures that
your buoy will stop the line from paying out once
your weight hits the bottom. This feature assures
that the Bandit Buoy is directly above the object
you have marked.
To deploy the Bandit Buoy simply throw it in the
water. When the weight reaches the bottom the buoy
stops deploying line keeping right on the spot you
wanted to mark. To retrieve simply pull up the
weight and wind up the line on the internal spool.
The fluorescent orange Bandit Buoy is highly
visible in low light and rough sea conditions. All
components are corrosion resistant to assure years
of trouble free use. The buoy measures about eight
inches square and is easily stowed aboard even the
smallest boats.
